Welcome to Find You ("App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use Find You.
Please read this policy carefully before using the App. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.
This policy should be read together with our Terms of Use.
1. Features Provided by the App
Find You is a location companion application. Depending on your region, device, and version, features may include:
Sharing your real-time location with people you connect through an invitation code
Viewing the real-time location of people who have authorized you to see it
Phone-number lookup for users of the App, where a result is available
Location history and route review for connected people (some history ranges require Premium)
Geo-fence zones and alerts when a connected person enters or leaves a zone
Battery level and last-update status shown with a connected person's location
Profile information such as a display name, optional phone number, and an in-app avatar
Managing connections, including stop tracking, unbind, and block
Multi-language interface, help center, feedback, and general settings
Optional advertising (for example banner, interstitial, splash, or native ads where enabled)
Optional Premium purchases, including subscriptions and a lifetime unlock where offered
Push or local notifications about location changes, geo-fence events, or related alerts (where permitted)
2. Information We May Collect
Depending on the features you use and the permissions you grant, we may process the following categories of information:
2.1 Account and profile information
An app-generated device identifier (GUID) used to create and recognize your account on this device
Your invitation / authorization code used to connect with other users
Profile details you choose to save, such as username, optional mobile number, gender, and selected avatar
Connection records, including who you track, who tracks you, and block or unbind actions
Feedback text you voluntarily submit through the Help or Feedback feature
2.2 Location information
Precise or approximate location (latitude, longitude, and a place description where available) when you allow location access and agree to upload your location
Background location, where you grant "Always" / background location permission, so connected people can see updates even when the App is closed or not in use
Location history and timestamps needed to show routes, last-update time, and geo-fence events
Geo-fence names, centers, and related zone settings you create
Battery level reported together with a location update, so connected people can see device battery status
2.3 Phone numbers and contacts
Phone numbers you type, or a single number you pick from your contacts, when you use phone-number location or an optional phone field
The system contact picker is used on your device to choose a number. We do not upload your full address book
A lookup result is returned only when that number is associated with a user of the App and a location is available under the App's rules. If the other person is not using the App, the query does not return their live location
2.4 Device and technical information
Device model, operating system version, app version, language, time zone, and network type
Push notification token, where you allow notifications, so we can deliver location and zone alerts
Crash logs, diagnostic data, and basic usage / event statistics needed to keep the App stable and understand feature use
Purchase status, product identifiers, and transaction metadata from Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not collect your full bank card number
2.5 Advertising-related data (where ads are enabled)
Ad interaction events (impressions, clicks, and similar signals) needed to display and measure ads
Advertising identifiers and technical signals processed by ad, attribution, or analytics partners under their own policies
2.6 Preference and settings data
Language selection, location-sharing consent, notification choices, and similar local or account settings
3. Permission Usage
Location (while using the App): used to show your position on the map and to share it with people you connect with
Location (Always / background): used to keep sharing real-time location when the App is closed or not in use, if you grant this permission and agree to upload your location
Notifications: used to tell you about location changes, geo-fence alerts, and related signals when you allow notifications
Contacts (read): used only so you can pick a phone number from your address book. You can also type a number without granting this permission
Ignore battery optimization / foreground location service (Android, where requested): used to reduce interruptions so location updates can continue more reliably
Network access: used to sync location, load maps, show ads where enabled, process purchases, and deliver support content
You may revoke permissions in your system settings at any time. Related features may become unavailable afterward. You can also decline location upload inside the App; connected people will then not receive ongoing updates from this device.
4. How We Use Information
To provide core features: location sharing, authorized viewing, phone-number lookup, history, maps, and geo-fence alerts
To apply your preferences (language, sharing consent, notifications, and connection management)
To show battery and last-update status to people you have connected with
To display ads and measure ad performance where advertising is enabled
To process Premium purchases, restore prior purchases, and confirm subscription status
To process feedback and improve product quality
To diagnose crashes, prevent abuse, and enhance stability and security
To comply with applicable legal obligations
5. Third-Party Services
The App may integrate third-party SDKs / services to support core functionality, including but not limited to:
Map and geocoding services (such as OpenStreetMap-based map tiles and Nominatim place lookup) to display maps and convert coordinates into place names
Advertising, attribution, and analytics partners where those features are enabled (which may include services such as Google advertising, TopOn, Adjust, and PostHog, depending on your version)
Apple App Store / Google Play services for distribution, in-app billing, and purchase restoration
Push notification infrastructure used to deliver alerts you have allowed
Cloud / API infrastructure used for account, location sync, configuration, and feedback
These third parties may process necessary data under their own privacy policies. We only share information reasonably required for them to provide the requested service. When a place name is resolved, coordinates may be sent to the geocoding provider.
6. Data Storage and Security
Some preferences, the device identifier, and cached map or session data are stored on your device
Location updates, profile details, invitation connections, geo-fences, and purchase status needed to operate the service are stored on our servers
You can stop sharing, remove a connection, block a user, or delete your account in the App
Uninstalling the App removes app-private local data on that device. Server-side account data remains until you delete the account or we delete it under this policy
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security
7. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal data to unrelated third parties. We may share information only where:
You connect with another user through an invitation code, so that person can view the location and related status you have agreed to share
You have given explicit consent, including agreeing to upload your location
Disclosure is required by law, regulation, or legal process
Sharing is necessary to provide maps, advertising, analytics, payments, notifications, or other core services you use
Needed to protect the rights, safety, or property of users, the public, or the App operator
People you have not connected with, and people you block or unbind, should not continue to receive your live location through the App.
8. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the App, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
Location history is kept so you and authorized viewers can review routes for the period offered in your version (a longer history range may require Premium).
You may delete your account in Settings. Deleting the account removes your profile and associated service data and cannot be restored.
If you only uninstall the App, local data on that device is removed, but account data on our servers may remain until deletion or until we no longer need it.
9. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction).
If you are a minor, please use the App under the guidance of a parent or legal guardian.
Do not share a child's location, or view a child's location, unless you are the parent or legal guardian or you have that guardian's authorization.
Guardians are encouraged to supervise minors' app usage and permission settings.
If you believe we have collected information from a child inappropriately, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
10. Your Rights
You can manage App permissions in your device settings
You can agree or decline location upload, and you can stop tracking or unbind a connection inside the App
You can block a user so they no longer track you through the App
You can edit your profile and delete your account. Account deletion is permanent
You can stop using the App and uninstall it at any time
You can contact us to ask about access, correction, or deletion of personal data, subject to applicable law
11. Important Consent Notice
Please note:
Find You is a tool for location sharing between people who use the App and choose to connect.
Real-time location of another person is available only when that person has the App, shares an invitation code, and allows their location to be uploaded.
You must not use the App to track, monitor, or locate someone without their authorization, or in violation of local law.
Phone-number results are limited to users of the App and are provided for reference. Accuracy is not guaranteed, and a number that is not using the App will not return that person's live location.
You can withdraw sharing by declining upload, stopping tracking, blocking, unbinding, or deleting your account.
12. International Users
If you access the App from outside the country where our operators or service providers are located, your information may be transferred to and processed in other regions.
By using the App, you acknowledge such transfers as reasonably necessary to operate the service.
13. Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time due to business, legal, or technical changes.
The "Last updated" date at the top will be revised accordingly.
Continued use of the App after updates means you accept the revised policy.
We encourage you to review this page periodically.
14. Contact
